Ahh, the wedding toast. People love to hate them, love to cry with them, and love to replay all the gory details of the bad ones. For the lucky person chosen to give the wedding toast, it can be especially nerve-wracking. What do you possibly say on the most important day of someone’s life, with 100+ of their nearest and dearest listening in with scrutiny? There are certainly some dos and don’ts of wedding speeches to avoid embarrassment and create a memorable experience for all who hear it.
Here are some examples that will hopefully inspire you:
“…May you have a life of love and happiness.”
“…To a lifetime of joy.”
“…May you never forget the love that you share today.”
“…To the bride and groom.”
While there are hundreds of things you could say to encompass your well wishes, just be sure you deliver a closing sentiment that is upbeat, heartfelt, and memorable.
What wedding speech dos and don’ts would you add to the list? What attributed to the best (and worst) speeches you have heard? Let us know below!
